I met someone this weekend who lived in the same town in France I did - just two years later than I. Spent a few minutes talking about the place. We didn't know any of the same people but it was pretty cool that, given it is a small city, both of us had spent some time there.

I can't stand it when a vendor (restaurant/convenience store/etc) gives me a credit card receipt with my FULL credit card number (and expiration date...and name) printed out. The smarter ones seem to only print the last four digits of the customer copy on the receipt. This annoys the hell out of me because I have to physically tear up the receipts before throwing them out. Yeah, I am paranoid about people stealing my info...but, really, I am sure it is probably an option in the configuration of the credit card machine to just print the last four digits on the customer copy. And it makes life a bit easier. After all, like most everyone else, I don't have so many credit cards to make it an issue that two (or more) of them have the same last four digits.
